Catching up!

Hey bloggers!
Sorry I haven't been on recently, but with a big part in the school musical, an addiction to Candy Crush, and trying to have a life outside the internet, it's awfully hard to remember to blog. Recently we've been off for winter break, and I celebrated Christmas with my family. I'm excited to start a new year in 2014. 2013 had it's ups and downs, but I don't regret a single moment!! I'm going to a basketball game tonight, I can't believe I'm already halfway through the school year! We're switching semesters soon, and I get Human Development! It's a class that teaches kids about the importance of being parents. Anyways, I better get ready for the game!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey bloggers!
Sorry about 2 posts in 2 days, but oh my gosh you guys are awesome! I got 40 views in a day! It's also Thanksgiving. I'm super excited for today and Christmas and the holidays in general. I'm so excited! I love giving Christmas presents every year, and just being thankful for being alive. I don't expect much this Christmas, it's just being together as a family that makes me happy. Some deep thoughts

Hey bloggers!
Have you ever felt a time when you felt absolutely and completely helpless in your own life? Like, you should be able to control what happens in it but no, it's random. I don't understand it or expect you to understand it, but it'd be nice to have an answer sometimes, right? I don't actually know how many of you will see this post, or any people at all, but it's nice to know that maybe one person will actually understand what  I'm feeling right now. It's as if I've slipped and I can't get out of this hole I'm in. Well this just got depressing for me. I'll see you guys later.

Guys I feel so bad...

Hey bloggers!
Oh my gosh I cannot believe I forgot about you! Ahh! So what's been going on with me this summer? A lot surprisingly! So, I worked at two places this summer. One was Subway, and the other one is a chocolate shop, that I still work at. It's pretty awesome, I get to eat chocolate as I work (and of course I get to take some home)! Then, I got to sing for the baseball team in my hometown! And on Labor Day, I got to sing the anthem for an event my hometown does every year, and there was probably about 1,000 people there! It was awesome! I'm back in school now, and I'm a junior! I have chemistry, band, psychology, algebra 2, study hall, and junior english! They are all really fun classes and I love my teachers! Any comments on school for you guys? Or if you're out of school, what was your favorite class?

I am so sorry!

Hey bloggers!
Wow I just realized I hadn't blogged in a couple of months... time flies! So, school got out and I got a boyfriend :) His name is Austin and we started going out the 16th of June. I also got a job working at Subway! That's so much fun and I get paid! I really love my coworkers, they are so much fun to talk to! Taylor Swift is touring right now and I'm trying to convince my parents to let me go! I am so obsessed with wanting to sing with her! I love her music and cannot think of not having part of her in my life. I also write music which is something we share. Welp, I hope I still have people that look for me out there. Toodles!

Disneyland Update!!

Hey bloggers!
So I know you might be wondering why I haven't posted in a while! Well, I've been in Disneyland!! It was so much fun meeting new people and I even met a JV Swim Team from Cali! It was so cool:) Instant best friends and pen pals! It was really fun walking around California, and I miss it there! It was great having all of my friends in one place where I could just hang out with them. It'd be awesome to be able to be a Disney Princess. I got to see backstage Disney, and see a few "hidden Mickeys" that no one else can see, ever. It really is the happiest place on Earth, even when the people aren't so happy. The music was always great, and if you're going to go, I recommend 1) The Aladdin Show 2) California Screamin' 3) Star Tours 4) Space Mountain and 5) Grizzly River Ranch (or whatever it's called!) Anyways, I had a great time with lots of adventures that I won't forget. I can't wait to go again next time!

More On Disneyland!

So, I'm super sorry if I'm talking so much about Disneyland lately, but I'm super excited. I'm starting to pack already because in 8 days we load the trailer with our luggage, our uniforms, and our instruments. You can't imagine how excited I am because I'm freaking out as I type this. I will try to get pictures on here after the trip, and I might even be able to bring my laptop along for the ride so I can blog everyday. I'm hoping to see a celebrity, what are the chances I'll see someone famous at the airport or Disneyland? That'd be crazy!! I'm going to try to do stuff around the house to see if I can get money before I go. That would be perfect. My bag is going to be so packed with stuff it's not funny. We're there for five days and we get to go into the park four of those days. Anyways, I can't wait.

School Rant!

Hey bloggers!
So today I want to talk about Math. Honestly, I used to love math. I loved feeling smart. But I'm not a textbook learner. I don't learn by doing busywork, I learn by creating models, and talking about what I've learned. If only schools were rich enough to support every way of learning. Wouldn't that be great? You wouldn't have kids being stupid because they'd be able to learn the same amount of material in a way that suits them, not the nation's wallet. Albert Einstein once said, "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." Is that really what you want kids to believe? That just because they don't learn a certain way they're condemned to a lower lifestyle than a kid that can fit in with everyone else? I thought that schools wanted you to think it's okay to be different. Let's change this to, "We want you to be exactly who you are, as long as you can adapt yourself to learn in the way we want you to." This is brainwashing. I could be the smartest person in the world, but if I can't concentrate while I read a textbook, then no one is going to care. Well, I should probably stop ranting for a while. Thanks for reading all of my words.

Mixed Feelings and Disneyland!

Hey bloggers!
What are you supposed to say when someone asks you out that you just want as a friend? Well on one hand, you want to be honest and tell them the truth - that you just want them as a friend. On the other hand, you feel bad to hurt them, so you might want to give them a chance. Just let me tell you, it's way better to be honest about it than to lead them on only to break it off later. Honestly, never lead someone on. It's rude, disrespectful, and it hurts them on a deep emotional level. On another note, Disneyland is 16 days away. I can't wait to be in the sun, sing and play music, and just hang out at the happiest place on Earth. Maybe there will be some romance, but it'll be awesome just to hang out with all my friends. Today is Earth Day, so here's to all the amazing trees in the world that give us life. Before I go, I wanted to let you know that I did get the part in another play, Uncle Phil's Diner. I'm Tammy, and I get to sing the song Tammy. How fitting. My character will be awesome, and I'm so excited to start rehearsing. Well, I better go.

Day of Silence and More!

Hey bloggers!
So today, I participated in the Day of Silence. Basically, you don't talk for the whole day in honor of the people that have been silenced due to bullying. I was successful, but a lot of people were rude about it. I was typing on my phone to someone, and they said, "I'm not going to talk to you unless you use your words." Wow. Glad to know there's still decent people in the world. Not. Sigh. Anyways, I might be auditioning for another play tonight. Apparently, my friend's dad is the director and she told him I have a pretty voice. Why? Now he's going to have high expectations, and I'm nervous. On another note, I'm really excited to be going to Disneyland with the band and choir. There's only 19 days left! There's an Olympic sized pool at the hotel, and I'm excited that a cute guy is going. But hey, enough of that Katie. I am getting obsessed with Reddit now, because I got gifted gold. Reddit is an amazing social network that you really have to go to to understand. I should probably get started on my homework though so see ya!

Talking About The Future!

Life isn't perfect, but neither are we. Sometimes we just need to give it a chance, even when it's most likely to turn around on us. Right now, I really feel like just going far, far away and never returning. Have you ever felt like that? Maybe I'm being too emotional. There's not much going on right now, other than me getting super excited to go to Disneyland in May with the band and choir at my school. We're going for 5 days, and my mom's the chaperone. Haha. I'm pretty sure I'll have a blast. And then, the rest of school will go by SUPER fast. Then, it will be summer and I will have to do a whole bunch of bucket list things! I'm not sure about what yet, but it'll happen! Anyways, I feel like I'm kind of rambling now so I'll see you next time!

Memories and More!

It's spring break now, and I'm loving it! It's nice to finally have a break from everyone and school. I want to go hang out with some friends though too. We got an offer on our house that we're selling, and there's like a 90% chance we'll take it! I'm excited! So today, I was looking around and found all of my ex-boyfriend's letters to me. I'm keeping a big box of stuff from life just for memories. What do you think, bloggers? Should I get rid of all of it? Or is it small enough that it won't matter? Decisions, decisions. Jayme's birthday is tomorrow, and I'm going crazy to make it a good one. :) I already have a list of things I need to do tomorrow. Anyways, I'm pretty tired so I'll let you guys sleep too.

Welcome To My Busy Life!

Hey Bloggers!
This week has been crazy! Let's start off with Tolo. I loved it, even though there weren't a lot of people there! On Monday, I missed school for Math Day! I had fun, and the food was delicious! We had burgers and fries for only $3 at this slider shack! It was great, but I might have gotten a concussion when I got dropped and hit my head on the metal part of the school bus! I still have a great big headache. On Tuesday, I went to the Band Festival! We played Ambrosian Hymn Variants and Last Spring. After a while of waiting, we got our scores and got the 22nd Superior in a row! That's the best score you can receive, and we were all excited. Today was a very typical day, oh yeah except the 2 hour assembly in the morning. It was held by The White Hatter, and he was great. Maybe a little creepy (hisssss) but still awesome. Tomorrow, most of my classes are going to be empty because I'm not going on the Sophomore trip. I was one of the only people with the option to not go. And on Friday, I have Choir Festival! Wish me luck bloggers, because it's going to be a long rest of the week.

A Mouse Trap

Hey bloggers!
So I auditioned today for the Mouse Trap Spring Drama at our school. There's only 3 girl characters, and 11 girls showed up. Maybe I'll get lucky! Anyways, I thought I should give you guys a quick update on my week before I go to bed for the night. Today was auditions, and I'll find out the results in a couple days. Wednesday I'm donating blood, which I'm super excited for because it's the first time I can donate at the school since I turned 16 in December. Friday is going to be a gigantic awards banquet for the Wizard of Oz play that I'm done with now. I know, get out of one theater production and into the next. Saturday is Tolo, which some of you know as a Sadie Hawkins dance. I have no idea whether I'm going or not, because I haven't had anybody to ask. But hey, I can try right? Also, we might be selling our house. Yup, we're only moving across town though if we do. Right next to one of my good friends. He said we'd totally have to have a Doctor Who marathon (I didn't know who he was until he brought him up.) I'm getting a little bit tired, so I'll have to tell you guys if I get the part for the drama or not.

Happy Saturday!

Hey bloggers!
So today's Saturday, and I'm in a really great mood! The weekend is the perfect time to catch up on sleep or party hard! On Monday I'm going to try out for the Spring Drama at our school, the Mouse Trap! There's only 3 girl characters in it though so I'm pretty sure I'm not going to make it. I can still try though! There's been lots of things going on lately, and I've been pretty busy! I'm also donating blood on Wednesday! I'm sooo excited to finally know what my blood type is. I hope I'm okay to donate blood, but I should be fine! On another note, I just wanted to say that cuddling up with someone and watching a movie is the perfect way to spend a night with someone. It's not expensive, and you get to talk about whatever's on your mind. Do you like my blogs? If so, comment about it! If not, what can I fix? Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. Another post from the Blank Face

Hey bloggers!
I'm back, and it's time for Daylight Savings again! Fun stuff, not! Losing an hour of sleep is SO not cool. But hey, since I just babysat, I'm going to lose some sleep anyways :D Do any of you have a moment when you have no idea where to go next? I'm in that spot right now. Should I make the risk and go after my crush for a very long time, or do I play it safe and find someone else? Anywho, I got a SodaStream today, and it is AMAZING. I know that it is a little bit of a hit to an average teen's wallet, but it really saves you a lot in the end. I mean, five bucks for twelve liters of pop is an awesome deal. I even get to have it up in my room because my mom needs any space she can get in the kitchen! On another note, I sang the Star Spangled Banner last night at a fundraiser basketball game and everyone seemed really impressed! I even got invited to sing it again at another event, along with the Canadian National Anthem! It'll be great! Well, since it's like, two-o-clock in the morning here now, I should probably get some sleep!

My First Post!

I'm Katie, and I'll try to post on this blog as much as possible! Here's a little bit about myself: I'm a 16 year old girl, I have a passion for singing, and I'm a high school student. I'm wacky and outgoing, and don't take no for an answer when it comes to something I'm passionate about. Let's see... I have a mom and dad, and a little sister named Emily. She's 14 and gets on my nerves sometimes but I love her anyways. I have black hair and blue eyes, but my natural hair color is brunette. As you can see, I talk a lot and love writing. It's crazy being my age, but I make it work! Taking Algebra 2 has it's pros and cons. I have lots of hobbies, and right now I'm the understudy for The Wizard Of Oz. It's so great having a supportive cast and I just love them all! :) I'll try to blog as much as possible, but with my busy schedule, it'll be more of a pastime hobby. Well that's all for now!
